Fish live in beautiful places and we care for their natural environment. We work diligently to clean streams and shorelines of trash and preserve habitat. Under the Minnesota DNR program “Adopt a Stream” we have two annual trips to the Credit River in Savage for this purpose as well as during our personal outings.
The Federation of Fly Fishers and our Chapter promote the practice of “catch and release”. We advocate that the sport is enhanced if fish are released to continue their life cycles and perhaps be caught again another day. The skills of reading the water, selecting the correct fly, proper presentation, and bringing a fish to net are important to us.
